Japan Open Chain to Exhibit at ECONOSEC JAPAN 2025

◽️ About ECONOSEC JAPAN

ECONOSEC JAPAN is a specialized conference and exhibition on economic security hosted by Jiji Press. It brings together government and business leaders from key sectors such as defense, supply chains, cybersecurity, energy, artificial intelligence, and advanced technologies, all essential to national stability and growth, to share insights and discuss cutting-edge policies and technologies.

◽️ Background and Objectives of the Exhibition

As economic security becomes a core component of national strategy, there is a growing need for transparency, trust, and neutrality in information and financial infrastructure. In this context, blockchain technology is emerging as an essential foundation for future infrastructure, thanks to its tamper resistance and openness, which enable reliable management of transactions, records, and contracts.

However, not all blockchains are created equal. As adoption expands, the need grows for “trustworthy blockchain infrastructure”, solutions that are clearly governed, legally compliant, and safe for real-world use.

Japan Open Chain was designed to meet these needs. It is a domestically operated public blockchain that complies with Japanese law, is run by trusted Japanese enterprises, and is open for anyone to use. Already, Japan Open Chain has been at the center of initiatives such as NFTs issued by local governments, legally-compliant Japanese yen stablecoins, and digital ID pilot programs. These efforts, while still in the experimental and pre-commercial stages, reflect the growing interest in safe, reliable, and practical Web3 infrastructure.

Through this exhibition, we aim to communicate the social significance and real-world use cases of Japan Open Chain to government agencies, municipalities, infrastructure providers, and private companies, contributing to the broader goal of establishing a trustworthy national infrastructure for the digital era.

◽️ Special Lecture

Our CEO, Hiroaki Inaba, will also deliver a lecture during the event, introducing the structure and value of Japan Open Chain. The session will explore what constitutes a truly trustworthy digital infrastructure in the era of economic security, using Japan Open Chain as a concrete example of such a system designed for social implementation.
