insprout Joins Japan Open Chain as Validator

Japan Blockchain Foundation Co., Ltd. (CEO: Hidekazu Kondo; hereinafter "our company"), which operates and manages the consortium for "Japan Open Chain (JOC)," a fully Ethereum-compatible public blockchain operated by Japanese companies, is pleased to announce that insprout Corporation (CEO: Kazuhito Mine; hereinafter "insprout") has joined Japan Open Chain as a validator (blockchain operating partner).

"Japan Open Chain" is a business-optimized public blockchain emphasizing practicality. Because operators are clear and operations comply with Japanese law, it is being utilized by companies and local governments as blockchain infrastructure for safely conducting web3 business. Additionally, this chain is fully Ethereum-compatible, achieving high speed with adequate decentralization, high security performance, and stability.

Currently, validators of "Japan Open Chain" include CORGEAR Co., Ltd. (Sony's in-group startup), CyberLinks Co., Ltd., Dentsu Inc., NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Group), G.U.Technologies Co., Ltd., insprout Corporation, Kudasai Inc., Minna Bank, Ltd., pixiv Inc., TIS Inc., and Kyoto University of the Arts, with a final target of 21 companies.

◽️ Purpose of insprout's Validator Participation

insprout will participate as a blockchain co-operator of Japan Open Chain, providing a blockchain that Japanese companies can use with confidence together with other co-operators, while also promoting deployment of the following Web3 services contributing to solving social issues.

  1. Management and operation of this blockchain platform
  • Validation of transaction data recorded on the blockchain
  • Technical examination regarding improvements in security, performance, and stability
  1. Examination of new Web3 services toward solving social issues
  • Examination toward social implementation of Web3 services
  • Providing services enabling co-creation and exchange of value without intermediaries
