Japan Open Chain Completes Testnet Migration for the "Tokyo Hardfork"

Japan Blockchain Foundation, Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative: Daimei Inaba, hereinafter "the Company"), the operator and administrator of the consortium behind Japan Open Chain (JOC), a fully Ethereum-compatible public blockchain co-operated by Japanese enterprises, is pleased to announce that the testnet migration for the "Tokyo Hardfork" — the largest protocol upgrade since the network's launch — scheduled for September 7, 2026, was completed successfully at block height 19,431,670.
As originally planned, after confirming that the testnet verification results present no issues, the Company plans to carry out Phase 1, "The Merge," on the mainnet in November 2026.
